A
Drive Around Ely, Nevada's Success Loop
We've never been to to any of these sites and our feet were tired so we
opted for an air conditioned tour
of Ely Nevada's Success Loop.
This is Cave Lake. Not a lot of action going on here.
A couple boaters and one fisherman was all I saw.
There were a number of areas which had been cleared for some kind of
development and these were springing
up in those areas.
Sections of the road were lined with these bushes.
I've always like trees growing out of rocks.
It took some looking, but we finally found some Fauna in the Success
Loop.
This is more what I was looking for.........
The only blight on the trip was the obnoxious No Trespassing signs on
virtually every place you could pull over.
Considering the number of signs damaged, other people thought so too.
It seems this company basically bought
up the east side of the mountain and is planning on making a killing
renting out lot spaces to campers and
they weren't shy about posting a gazillion signs. Funny
though, I did not see one camper.
The trip takes an one and a half hours or so and is worth the trip.
Try for early June when the wild flowers are
blooming.
