A Summary of my Experience in the World of Power.

Most Memorable Experience:  The only geothermal plant I had ever seen that could trip off to house load without the lights even blinking.  Fuji Control Valve.  That was awesome.

Most Memorable Experience:  The people were incredible - and they were Sunni Muslims.

Most Memorable Experience:  The only place I had ever been that rained red mud.

Most Memorable Experience:  Marvin Degeter

Most Memorable Experience:  Hedge Apples and the hospitality of Texas.

Most Memorable Experience: Probably Rex Lee - a Startup Manager who understood budgets, understood Construction and helped make the company a pile of money.    Click Here for a  nice photo, courtesy of  Mr. Lee.

Most Memorable Experience:  Eight count shrimp for $5.00 a pound and a Christmas dinner with my wife outside in Mobile, AL on a dining terrace - and in the middle of winter!

Most Memorable Experience: The drive over the Sierras in the middle of winter.

Most Memorable Experience: This was one tough job.  Boiled Peanuts and shrimp for $5.00 a pound helped ease the experience, not to mention the hospitality of the locals.

Most Memorable Experience:  A project manager (Major Plug  to Mo Perry) proving that construction and startup could be accomplished without the usual brow beating, execssive stress and all the other crap usually found at other jobs.  A visit to this site was like going on a well deserved vacation.  Thanks, Mo.

Most Memorable Experience:  Seeing thousands of Walmart plastic bags stuck on sagebrush blowing in the wind upon entering Victorville.

Most Memorable Experience:  The hangover  after dinner.

Most Memorable Experience: While not exactly a power plant, I did spend some time there and the standout here is the only job I've ever been on that served Starbucks coffee every morning, with your choice of  regular or bold.  No decaf on this job!

Most Memorable Experience: Only experience I ever had where I was called out by the Construction Project Manager  to sufficiently motivate Startup to finish their job.
Footnote - This was not our Startup department.  It was the JV partner.

Most Memorable Experience:  The Startup Manager.

Most Memorable Experience:  Seeing alligators was extremely cool.  Dealing with union operators was a challenge.

Most Memorable Experience:  Learning about Malus Prairie Fire, without a doubt.

Most Memorable Experience:  Never having physically seen the job, all job tracking is done by remote control and it works!

Most Memorable Experience:  Alligators and Rattlesnakes

Most Memorable Experience:  Being up that far north.

Louisa Generating Station
Most Memorable Experience:  Cacti on site and some great local produce.

Meg Energy SAGD Phase 1
Most Memorable Experience:  Didn't see the site until a year after I quit work on it.
