The black netting is a favorite roll around and scratch pad. ![]() It's alsp a great way to get stuck. ![]() This attractive creature I think is a Darkling Beetle grub. I find these around rose roots. I took this down to the supposed experts at the local nursery and they said it was the larvae of a Jerusalem Cricket...........lot of help that was. ![]() The rose hedge is getting revamped this year and these are the latest additions: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We'll see how this works out. ![]() An alert guardian of the yard who recently discovered Alligator Lizards ![]() Our Largest Crab ![]() A native whose name a always fail to remember. ![]() My pad from the Haiwee reservoir several years later. ![]() This crab is still hanging in there ![]() The oldest Crab ![]() This year the wild flower bed is getting bird netting, a whole bunch of seeds and more mulch. ![]() Another native shrub in bloom. ![]() May is a good time of year for blooming native shrubery. ![]() Desert Peach after a rain storm - a rare sight (rain, not the desert peach). ![]() "Should I pee on this or shouldn't I?" ![]() This Blue Elderberry is one of the first to bloom. I am thinking about taking some suckers and growing them further out back as a bush. They seem to have no trouble with the climate. ![]() The latest mystery plant. I think I may have picked this up from Iowa or Kansas. It certainly wintered over nicely. Anyone have an idea as to what this is? |
